Dr. Xinkun Hu has been working as a lecturer at the Institute of Ecology, China West Normal University, China since 2018. He obtained a bachelors of science in biotechnology, a master's of science in biochemistry and molecular biology, and a doctorate of agronomy in crop genetics and breeding at Sichuan Agricultural University. He also completed joint doctoral training at the Canadian Department of Agriculture. His main research areas are 1. genetic research on wheat processing quality traits and resistance to Fusarium head blight, 2. genetic research on wheat yield-related traits such as tillering, spike shape, kernal shape, etc., and 3. research on resources and agricultural environmental ecology.
