Biography

My research focuses on host-pathogen interactions, with a particular emphasis on vector biology and the molecular mechanisms underlying tick-host-pathogen relationships. I am interested in identifying and characterizing immunomodulatory molecules, especially from tick salivary glands, that influence pathogen transmission and host immune responses. Additionally, my work explores vaccine development strategies, including phage display-based antigen discovery, to control vector-borne diseases. I also have a strong interest in antimicrobial research, particularly the role of natural compounds in combating microbial infections.
