Information

Professor Yoon received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Texas Tech University in 1981, followed by working as a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University, and then a research associate at Harvard Medical School. Thereafter he joined the faculty of Chungnam National University, and he has been involved in investigation of molecular/nano photochemistry and photophysics, laser spectroscopy including single molecule/nano spectroscopy, nano-bio photonics and photocatalysis with synthesis of the optoelectronic nano-materials. He has published over 200 original papers, and won several research awards from the Asia-Oceanian Photochemistry Association (APA), the Science Award from the Korean Society of Photoscience (KSP), the Korean Chemical Society (KCS). He has also served as the presidents of the APA, KSP and KCS as well as editorial board members of Photochem. Photobiol. Sci. (Royal Society of Chemistry), J. Photochem. Photobiol. A: Chem (Elsevier), and J. Photochem. Photobiol., C: Photochem. Rev. (Elsevier).
