Francesco Melino completed his Ph.D. in “Machines Engineering and Energy Systems” at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna. He is now an associate professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Alma Mater Studiorum—Università di Bologna and serves as a researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIN). In 2010–2013, he used to be a researcher at the Institute of Materials for Electronics and Magnetism (IMEM) of Parma’s National Council of Researches (CNR). His research interests focus on the integration between non-programmable renewable generators and electrical and thermal storage devices and green hydrogen.
