ALI ARSHAD UPPAL (S’12-M’17-SM' 22) received his B.E. and MS degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering, respectively, from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Taxila, Pakistan, in 2006 and 2012, respectively, and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Pakistan, in 2016. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on the UPWIND project at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Porto. He is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad. His research interests include nonlinear control, sliding mode control, process control, numerical optimal control, control of infinite dimensional systems, and control of energy conversion systems. So far, he has authored/co-authored 26 journal publications in peer-reviewed impact factor journals, with an aggregate impact factor of 96.
