Dr. Stephan Zandanell, Ph.D. is a senior consultant in gastroenterology and hepatology at the First Department of Medicine, University Hospital Salzburg, Paracelsus Medical University, Austria. He graduated (Ph.D. in Medical Science) from the Paracelsus Medical University in 2021. His (M.D.) graduation was from the Paracelsus Medical University in 2013. Dr. Zandanell's working experience is as follows: 2013–2019 general internal medicine registrar, 2020–2022 specialist training in gastroenterology and hepatology, and since 04/2022 he is a consultant in gastroenterology and hepatology. His research interests include the following: autoimmune liver diseases and metabolic liver diseases. Memberships: ECCO, DGIM. Awards: Poster Award 2017 of OEGGH (for AASLD Liver Meeting), Award of Excellence 2022 (prize for the best 40 dissertations of 2021/2022, granted by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Research).
