Agriculture is a major part of the world economy as it provides food safety. However, in recent years, it has been noted that plants are extensively infected by different diseases. This causes enormous economic losses in agriculture industry around the world. The manual inspection of fruit diseases is a difficult process which can be minimized by using automated methods for detection of plant diseases at the earlier stage. In this paper, a new method is implemented for apple diseases identification and recognition. Three pipeline procedures are followed by preprocessing, spot segmentation, and features extraction, and classification. In the first step, the apple leaf spots are enhanced by a hybrid method which is the conjunction of 3D box filtering, de-correlation, 3D-Gaussian filter, and 3D-median filter. After that, the lesion spots are segmented by the strong correlation-based method and optimized their results by fusion of expectation maximization (EM) segmentation. Finally, the color, color histogram, and local binary pattern (LBP) features are fused by comparison-based parallel fusion. The extracted features are optimized by genetic algorithm and classified by One-vs-All M-SVM. The experimental results are performed on plant village dataset. The proposed methodology is tested for four types of apple disease classes including healthy leaves, Blackrot, Rust, and Scab. The classification accuracy shows the improvement of our method on selected apple diseases. Moreover, the good preprocessing step always produced prominent features which later achieved significant classification accuracy.

Plant diseases can cause a considerable reduction in the quality and number of agricultural products. Guava, well known to be the tropics’ apple, is one significant fruit cultivated in tropical regions. It is attacked by 177 pathogens, including 167 fungal and others such as bacterial, algal, and nematodes. In addition, postharvest diseases may cause crucial production loss. Due to minor variations in various guava disease symptoms, an expert opinion is required for disease analysis. Improper diagnosis may cause economic losses to farmers’ improper use of pesticides. Automatic detection of diseases in plants once they emerge on the plants’ leaves and fruit is required to maintain high crop fields. In this paper, an artificial intelligence (AI) driven framework is presented to detect and classify the most common guava plant diseases. The proposed framework employs the ΔE color difference image segmentation to segregate the areas infected by the disease. Furthermore, color (RGB, HSV) histogram and textural (LBP) features are applied to extract rich, informative feature vectors. The combination of color and textural features are used to identify and attain similar outcomes compared to individual channels, while disease recognition is performed by employing advanced machine-learning classifiers (Fine KNN, Complex Tree, Boosted Tree, Bagged Tree, Cubic SVM). The proposed framework is evaluated on a high-resolution (18 MP) image dataset of guava leaves and fruit. The best recognition results were obtained by Bagged Tree classifier on a set of RGB, HSV, and LBP features (99% accuracy in recognizing four guava fruit diseases (Canker, Mummification, Dot, and Rust) against healthy fruit). The proposed framework may help the farmers to avoid possible production loss by taking early precautions.

Breast cancer has affected many women worldwide. To perform detection and classification of breast cancer many computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems have been established because the inspection of the mammogram images by the radiologist is a difficult and time taken task. To early diagnose the disease and provide better treatment lot of CAD systems were established. There is still a need to improve existing CAD systems by incorporating new methods and technologies in order to provide more precise results. This paper aims to investigate ways to prevent the disease as well as to provide new methods of classification in order to reduce the risk of breast cancer in women’s lives. The best feature optimization is performed to classify the results accurately. The CAD system’s accuracy improved by reducing the false-positive rates. The Modified Entropy Whale Optimization Algorithm (MEWOA) is proposed based on fusion for deep feature extraction and perform the classification. In the proposed method, the fine-tuned MobilenetV2 and Nasnet Mobile are applied for simulation. The features are extracted, and optimization is performed. The optimized features are fused and optimized by using MEWOA. Finally, by using the optimized deep features, the machine learning classifiers are applied to classify the breast cancer images. To extract the features and perform the classification, three publicly available datasets are used: INbreast, MIAS, and CBIS-DDSM. The maximum accuracy achieved in INbreast dataset is 99.7%, MIAS dataset has 99.8% and CBIS-DDSM has 93.8%. Finally, a comparison with other existing methods is performed, demonstrating that the proposed algorithm outperforms the other approaches.

A number of techniques for securing plaintext, images and video frames have been developed in cryptography using jointly DNA computing and Chaos Theory. With the advancement of DNA/quantum computing, the threats of security breaches to information have an increasing possibility. In this paper, we propose a symmetric encryption algorithm for color images by extending the current encryption/decryption techniques. Our encryption algorithm is based on three chaotic systems (PWLCM, Lorenz and 4D Lorenz-type), a Secure Hash Algorithm, a scrambler, a chaotic generator and DNA sequence based Linear Feedback Shift Register. We introduce multilevel security to increase the degree of diffusion and confusion. Through experiments, we present security analysis for key irreproducibility and sensitivity, Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix based analysis, maximum deviation, irregular deviation, entropy, histogram, variance and correlation, number of pixel change rate, unified average cipher intensity, known/chosen-plaintext attacks, mean absolute error, robustness against noises of various types using PSNR and occlusion attacks. It is demonstrated that mostly our proposed encryption algorithm has enhanced performance as compared to contemporary works in information security, while comparable in other cases.

Breast Cancer is a common dangerous disease for women. Around the world, many women have died due to Breast cancer. However, in the initial stage, the diagnosis of breast cancer can save women's life. To diagnose cancer in the breast tissues, there are several techniques and methods. The image processing, machine learning, and deep learning methods and techniques are presented in this paper to diagnose the breast cancer. This work will be helpful to adopt better choices and reliable methods to diagnose breast cancer in an initial stage to save a women's life. To detect the breast masses, microcalcifications, and malignant cells, different techniques are used in the Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems phases like preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, and classification. We have reported a detailed analysis of different techniques or methods with their usage and performance measurement. From the reported results, it is concluded that for breast cancer survival, it is essential to improve the methods or techniques to diagnose it at an initial stage by improving the results of the Computer-Aided Diagnosis systems. Furthermore, segmentation and classification phases are also challenging for researchers for the diagnosis of breast cancer accurately. Therefore, more advanced tools and techniques are still essential for the accurate diagnosis and classification of breast cancer.
