Stefano Cagnoni is associate professor of Computer Engineering at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Parma. His main research interests are in soft computing, with particular regard to evolutionary computation and neural nets. As concerns applied research, his main topics of interest are applying the above-mentioned techniques to problems in pattern recognition and computer vision.
