Prof. Dr. Juan J. Muñoz-Perez works currently at the Department of Applied Physics, Universidad de Cádiz. As Chief Engineer of the Atlantic Coastal Department of Andalusia (Spain), he planned, supervised, and directed nearly 400 maritime works. He has combined the former tasks with teaching as a Professor at the University of Cadiz since 1991 for Sea Sciences and Civil Engineering grades. He does research in Coastal Engineering. His current projects are related to the Mechanics of the scouring and sinking of submerged structures in a mobile bed and the Littoral dunes and the Variability of sand size in dredging hoppers. He is also the Coordinator of CEIMAR.
