Glaucio Valdameri was born in Brazil in 1984. He received a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University UNOCHAPECO, Chapecó, Brazil, in 2006 and Master's and Ph.D. degrees in biochemistry from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Curitiba, Brazil, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. His Ph.D. was in cancer research, working with biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, molecular and cellular biology. In addition, during his Ph.D., he worked for 12 months at the Institute of Biology and Chemistry of Proteins (IBCP), Lyon, France. He holds two postdoctoral positions working on proteomic analysis at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UFPR and at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Stockholm University (SU), Stockholm, Sweden. In 2016, he joined the Department of Clinical Analysis at UFPR as an associate professor (professor adjunto) and created the LCDR (www.lcdr.ufpr.br).
