Dr. Saurabh Gupta has more than 15 years of experience in microbial genomics and Proteomics (specializing in mycobacterial species). Studied molecular epidemiology and genotyped Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) strains from different regions and Indian livestock species, wildlife, and humans. Developed new-generation diagnostic tests (like sp-ELISA, Dot ELISA, indigenous ELISA, i-FAT, Nano-immuno rapid test, TaqMan Probe qPCR and SYBR green real-time PCR) for the detection of MAP. Developed and commercialized the ‘indigenous vaccine’ against paratuberculosis. Translational Research on Medicinal plants and screened their bioactive molecules as phototherapeutics against Mycobacterial diseases.
