Agricultural products are a fundamental necessity for every country. When plants are afflicted with diseases, it influences the country's agricultural productivity, as well as its economic resources. Diseases are an important problem for potato plants, causing potatoes to be rejected and resulting in financial losses. Viruses and diseases in potatoes and field plants can be missed with the naked eye, particularly in the early stages of cultivation. The use of modern instruments and technology at an early stage of disease diagnosis dramatically reduces costs. This study used deep learning techniques to categorize and detect plant leaf diseases in photos taken from the Plant Village dataset. The dataset consists of 20,636 photos of plants and their diseases. This study focused on potato plants because it is the most common type of plant in the world, particularly in Pakistan. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) methods were used to categorize plant leaf diseases into 15 classes, including three classes for healthy leaves and classes for several plant diseases such as fungal and bacterial infections, among others. The proposed models were trained and tested, achieving 98.29 and 98.029% accuracy, respectively.

The use of short message service (SMS) and e-mail have increased too much over the last decades. 80% of people do not read e-mails while 98% of cell phone users daily read their SMS. However, these communication media are unsafe and can produce malicious attacks called spam. The e-mails that pretend to be from a trusted company to provide “financial or personal information” are phishing e-mails. These e-mails contain some links; users might download malicious software on their computers when they click on them. Most techniques and models are developed to automatically detect these “SMS and e-mails” but none of them achieved 100% accuracy. In previous studies using machine learning (ML), spam detection using a small dataset has resulted in lower accuracy. To counter this problem, in this paper, multiple classifiers of ML and a classifier of deep learning (DL) were applied to the SMS and e-mail dataset for spam detection with higher accuracy. After conducting experiments on the real dataset, the researchers concluded that the proposed system performed better and more accurately than previously existing models. Specifically, the support vector machine (SVM) classifier outperformed all others. These results suggest that SVM is the optimal choice for classification purposes.
Agriculture is a critical domain, where technology can have a significant impact on increasing yields, improving crop quality, and reducing environmental impact. The use of renewable energy sources such as solar power in agriculture has gained momentum in recent years due to the potential to reduce the carbon footprint of farming operations. In addition to providing a source of clean energy, solar tracking systems can also be used for remote weather monitoring in the agricultural field. The ability to collect real-time data on weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall can help farmers make informed decisions on irrigation, pest control, and other crop management practices. The main idea of this study is to present a system that can improve the efficiency of solar panels to provide constant power to the sensor in the agricultural field and transfer real-time data to the app. This research presents a mechanism to improve the arrangement of a photovoltaic (PV) array with solar power and to produce maximum energy. The proposed system changes its direction in two axes (azimuth and elevation) by detecting the difference between the position of the sun and the panel to track the sun using a light-dependent resistor. A testbed with a hardware experimental setup is designed to test the system’s capability to track according to the position of the sun effectively. In the end, real-time data are displayed using the Android app, and the weather data are transferred to the app using a GSM/WiFi module. This research improves the existing system, and results showed that the relative increase in power generation was up to 52%. Using intelligent artificial intelligence techniques with the QoS algorithm, the quality of service produced by the existing system is improved.
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has also triggered a tsunami of news, instructions, and precautionary measures related to the disease on social media platforms. Despite the considerable support on social media, a large number of fake propaganda and conspiracies are also circulated. People also reacted to COVID-19 vaccination on social media and expressed their opinions, perceptions, and conceptions. The present research work aims to explore the opinion dynamics of the general public about COVID-19 vaccination to help the administration authorities to devise policies to increase vaccination acceptance. For this purpose, a framework is proposed to perform sentiment analysis of COVID-19 vaccination-related tweets. The influence of term frequency-inverse document frequency, bag of words (BoW), Word2Vec, and combination of TF-IDF and BoW are explored with classifiers including random forest, gradient boosting machine, extra tree classifier (ETC), logistic regression, Naïve Bayes, stochastic gradient descent, multilayer perceptron, convolutional neural network (CNN), bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT), long short-term memory (LSTM), and recurrent neural network (RNN). Results reveal that ETC outperforms using BoW with a 92% of accuracy and is the most suitable approach for sentiment analysis of COVID-19-related tweets. Opinion dynamics show that sentiments in favor of vaccination have increased over time.
Generative intelligence relies heavily on the integration of vision and language. Much of the research has focused on image captioning, which involves describing images with meaningful sentences. Typically, when generating sentences that describe the visual content, a language model and a vision encoder are commonly employed. Because of the incorporation of object areas, properties, multi-modal connections, attentive techniques, and early fusion approaches like bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT), these components have experienced substantial advancements over the years. This research offers a reference to the body of literature, identifies emerging trends in an area that blends computer vision as well as natural language processing in order to maximize their complementary effects, and identifies the most significant technological improvements in architectures employed for image captioning. It also discusses various problem variants and open challenges. This comparison allows for an objective assessment of different techniques, architectures, and training strategies by identifying the most significant technical innovations, and offers valuable insights into the current landscape of image captioning research.
Requirement elicitation stands as a pivotal activity within requirement engineering, gaining even greater significance in the context of global software development. Effective communication among stakeholders assumes paramount importance in this arena. Factors such as time zone disparities, cultural variations, and language differences exert a formidable impact on communication within the sphere of global software development. These dynamics inevitably impinge upon timely coordination, potentially compromising the software's quality. In response, researchers have proffered communication models tailored for requirement elicitation within the ambit of global software development. The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth critical review of existing communication models for demand elicitation in global software development. Through this comprehensive review, we aim to discern prevailing publication trends, provide an introductory overview, and illuminate the strengths and limitations inherent in the existing communication models. By identifying these limitations, we seek to advance a novel, low-cost communication approach designed primarily for demand elicitation in global software development. To culminate our endeavor, we will undertake a case study-based experiment, meticulously designed to assess the efficacy and practical utility of the proposed techniques.
