I, Sayaka Miura, am an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi. I am trained in cancer genomics and molecular evolution. My work integrates evolutionary principles and analyzes genomic and transcriptomic data to advance understanding of the processes and mechanisms of somatic evolution. I have developed various computational methods for inferring and analyzing tumor clone genotypes and phylogenies from bulk and single-cell sequencing data. My work bridges fundamental evolutionary biology and translational cancer research.
