Julia González-Álvarez received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Chemistry, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in 1994. She is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Her research interests mainly focus on extraction of phenolic compounds; bioactive compounds; activated carbons from biomass; removal of industrial pollutants from gas and liquid effluents; recovery of metals from e-waste.
