Prof. Dr. Vittoria Rufini currently works in the Section of Nuclear Medicine University, Department of Radiological Sciences and Hematology, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Rome, Italy. She is also a Consultant at PET/CT Center, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS, Roma, Italy. She studied at the Specialization School in Radiology at the Università Cattolica, Roma, Italy from 1985 to 1989, at the Specialization School in Nuclear Medicine at the Università Cattolica, Roma, Italy from 1982 to 1985, and in the Medical School at the Università Cattolica, Roma, Italy from 1976 to 1982. Her current research interest and research activity include 68Ga-labeled somatostatin analogs PET/CT in neuroendocrine tumors; 18F-DOPA PET-TC in congenital hyperinsulinism, paraganglioma, and medullary thyroid carcinoma;  diagnostic imaging of adrenal diseases; 18F-FDG PET/CT in oncology, in particular lymphoma, head-neck tumors, and gynecological malignancies. She is a member of the Associazione Italiana di Medicina Nucleare (AIMN). She is the author of 192 papers "in extenso" in peer-reviewed international journals indexed in Pub Med, with a publication rating (Scopus) on April 8, 2024 of total citations, 4773 and a Scopus H-Index of 37. In 74 of 192 (38.5%) publications, she is the first Author and/or Corresponding Author or senior Author.
