Prof. Yuanfa Liu is dean of the School of Food Science and Technology, Jiangnan University. He received his PhD in food science and technology in 2007 from Jiangnan University. He served as a senior visiting scholar at Harvard university from 2014 to 2015. Prof. Liu has broad research interests in lipid and oil research. The main current research areas in his laboratory include (1) the development and application of lipid green manufacture technology; (2) research and development of special oils and fats for the food industry; and (3) Foodomics research for lipid safety and nutrition. To date, Prof. Liu has published three books and over 200 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has also filed more than 20 patents. He has received more than 10 research awards throughout his research career. He is Yangtze River Scholars' Distinguished Professor and a Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent in the “Ten-thousand Talents Program”.
