Most current non-intrusive load monitoring methods focus on traditional load characteristic analysis and algorithm optimization, lack knowledge of users’ electricity consumption behavior habits, and have poor accuracy. We propose a novel attention-guided bidirectional dynamic graph IndRNN approach. The method first extends sequence or multidimensional data to a topological graph structure. It effectively utilizes the global context by following an adaptive graph topology derived from each set of data content. Then, the bidirectional Graph IndRNN network (Graph IndRNN) encodes the aggregated signals into different graph nodes, which use node information transfer and aggregation based on the entropy measure, power attribute characteristics, and the time-related structural characteristics of the corresponding device signals. The function dynamically incorporates local and global contextual interactions from positive and negative directions to learn the neighboring node information for non-intrusive load decomposition. In addition, using the sequential attention mechanism as a guide while eliminating redundant information facilitates flexible reasoning and establishes good vertex relationships. Finally, we conducted experimental evaluations on multiple open source data, proving that the method has good robustness and accuracy.

In some fire classification task samples, it is especially important to learn and select limited features. Therefore, enhancing shallow characteristic learning and accurately reserving deep characteristics play a decisive role in the final fire classification task. In this paper, we propose an integrated algorithm based on bidirectional characteristics and feature selection for fire image classification called BCFS-Net. This algorithm is integrated from two modules, a bidirectional characteristics module and feature selection module; hence, it is called an integrated algorithm. The main process of this algorithm is as follows: First, we construct a bidirectional convolution module to obtain multiple sets of bidirectional traditional convolutions and dilated convolutions for the feature mining and learning shallow features. Then, we improve the Inception V3 module. By utilizing the bidirectional attention mechanism and Euclidean distance, feature points with greater correlation between the feature maps generated by convolutions in the Inception V3 module are selected. Next, we comprehensively consider and integrate feature points with richer semantic information from multiple dimensions. Finally, we use convolution to further learn the deep features and complete the final fire classification task. We validated the feasibility of our proposed algorithm in three sets of public fire datasets, and the overall accuracy value in the BoWFire dataset reached 88.9%. The overall accuracy in the outdoor fire dataset reached 96.96%. The overall accuracy value in the Fire Smoke dataset reached 81.66%.

Fires cause severe damage to the ecological environment and threaten human life and property. Although the traditional convolutional neural network method effectively detects large-area fires, it cannot capture small fires in complex areas through a limited receptive field. At the same time, fires can change at any time due to the influence of wind direction, which challenges fire prevention and control personnel. To solve these problems, a novel dynamic adaptive distribution transformer detection framework is proposed to help firefighters and researchers develop optimal fire management strategies. On the one hand, this framework embeds a context aggregation layer with a masking strategy in the feature extractor to improve the representation of low-level and salient features. The masking strategy can reduce irrelevant information and improve network generalization. On the other hand, designed a dynamic adaptive direction conversion function and sample allocation strategy to fully use adaptive point representation while achieving accurate positioning and classification of fires and screening out representative fire samples in complex backgrounds. In addition, to prevent the network from being limited to the local optimum and discrete points in the sample from causing severe interference to the overall performance, designed a weighted loss function with spatial constraints to optimize the network and penalize the discrete points in the sample. The mAP in the three baseline data sets of FireDets, WildFurgFires, and FireAndSmokes are 0.871, 0.909, and 0.955, respectively. The experimental results are significantly better than other detection methods, which proves that the proposed method has good robustness and detection performance.
