Alba Pagès-Zamora received the M.S. degree in 1992 and the PhD degree in 1996, both in Electrical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain. In 1992 she joined the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the same University and became an Associate Professor in 2001. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses related to communications and signal processing. Her current research interests include signal processing on graphs, ensemble learning, and quantum signal processing.
Dr. Pagès-Zamora has published 2 book chapter, 19 papers in international periodic journals and about 60 papers in international conferences. Currently, she is the coordinator of the coordinated research project PID2019-104958RB ADELE (Advances in coding and signal processing for the digital society) participated by four Spanish universities and principal investigator of the subproject PID2019-104958RB-C41, under the funding national program 2019 «Proyectos de I+D+i Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad" starting in June 2020 and ending in May 2023. She also participates in QuantumCat research project.
