Dr. Asier Ibeas was born on July 7, 1977, in Bilbao (Spain), and he is currently a full professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He earned his degree in Physics from the University of the Basque Country in 2000, followed by a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and Automation in 2006, also from the University of the Basque Country. His area of expertise focuses on modelling and controlling the spread of epidemics.
