Pasquale Palladino joined the 'Sensors and Biosensors' laboratory in 2017 after several years abroad and at other research institutions in Italy, working on macromolecular systems, as well as on small molecules. He has a researcher position in the Chemistry Dept. at the Univ. of Florence, Italy. His professional expertise is based on a chemical educational background expanded to spectroscopy applied to molecular self-assembly, binding, dynamics, conformational preference, and structure–activity relationships. His current research interests focus on biosensing for healthcare and the development of colorimetric assays for foods, pharmaceuticals, and environmental analysis based on sensitive and selective reactions supported by powerful chemical principles.
