Dr. Loh is currently the Head of Energy and Environment Unit cum a senior researcher under the Engineering and Processing Research Division of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). She specializes in biomass and bioenergy, biorefinery, waste valorization, and environmental sustainability. She involves in implementation of biogas capture and utilization across palm oil mills in Malaysia. She is also active in ISO/Malaysian standards drafting, climate change negotiation and national greenhouse gas inventory (energy, waste, agriculture sectors) establishment. Dr. Loh is a Member of the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS), the Malaysian Oil Scientists and Technologies Association (MOSTA), the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS), and an Associate Member (Professional Chemist, ChM) of the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (IKM). She has authored and co-authored >100 scholarly articles, holds 8 patents of which several have been commercialized e.g. high efficient biogas fermentation system, palm-based mould release lubricant and bioorganic fertilizers.
