Dr. Hoa Phan obtained her Ph.D degree in “Geosciences, Astrophysics, Space and Environmental Sciences” at the University Toulouse III in 2018 after a Master’s Degree in “Space and Applications” at the University Montpellier II in 2014, and a Master’s degree in “Physical Fundamentals in Remote Sensing” at the University Paris 7 in 2015. Since 2019, she is a post-doctoral researcher at CESBIO, Toulouse, in charge of algorithm developement for the ESA GEORICE project on the use of SAR data for rice monitoring in Vietnam and South East Asia. She has been in charge of numerous trainings and capacity building workshops for several research institutions and national organisations on the use of SAR for agriculture. Currenttly, she is working towards a post-doctorate with IRD, on the subject of “Simulation of rice production in the Vietnam Mekong Delta under scenarios of climate change”.
