She holds a degree in Agronomy from Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (2004), Master’s and Doctorate in Seed Science and Technology with a focus on Biotechnology from Universidade Federal de Pelotas. She was a post-doctoral fellow (Cnpq) at the same university, where she worked on genes for tolerance to anoxia in plants. She worked as an adjunct I professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria from 2011 to 2013. She is currently a researcher at Embrapa Soja, a member of the Ecophysiology team and of the Plant Biotechnology Center. She is president of the Internal Biosafety Commission of Embrapa Soja (Cibio). In 2019, she joined the UEL Graduate Program in Biotechnology (State University of Londrina). She is currently a member of the National Biosafety Technical Commission (Ctnbio).
