Diana Layne earned a BS in nursing (2003) and an MS in nursing (2007) from East Carolina University and a PhD in nursing science (2018) from Medical University of South Carolina. She is now an assistant professor at the College of Nursing at Medical University of South Carolina. Her work in nursing science has resulted in 20 publications and numerous lectures. Her research interests include the nursing workforce, incivility, palliative care, and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
