Reasonable stope structural parameters are very important to ensure the safety and efficiency of mining. In this paper, based on the elastic-plastic constitutive model of Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion, the reasonable span and critical span are calculated by using simply supported beam theory and mine room width calculation formula. PLAXIS2D finite element analysis software was used to conduct numerical simulation research on 7 m × 9 m, 5 m × 12 m stope structure parameter schemes and 7 m × 9m, 5 m × 12 m waste rock filling schemes. The optimal structure parameters of the stope were determined based on the calculation and analysis of displacement variation rule, surrounding rock stress distribution and plastic zone. The analysis and simulation results show that Case 1 one-time mining 7 m × 9 m and Case 3 one-time mining 5 m × 12 m, the plastic zone is connected, the simulation calculation is not convergent, and the stope is unstable. Case 2 waste rock filling 7 m × 9 m and Case 4 waste rock filling 5 m × 12 m, the distribution and change of stress, displacement and plastic zone in the goaf under the two cases are compared, and finally the waste rock filling 7 m × 9 m is obtained can improve the economy and safety of mining in the mining area, and verify the feasibility of implementing stope structural parameters and waste rock filling mining system is verified.

This paper analyzed the numerical simulation method of Paleo-tectonic stress field from three aspects: tectonic simulation target, establishment of the tectonic model, and tectonic modeling. Taking Chengzhuang coal mine of Jin city in Shanxi Province as an example, based on field investigations on macro and micro tectonic features, we established plane-stress model and 3d geological model at first, and selected mechanical parameters of rock mass, boundary condition and failure criterion of rock, then, determined the magnitude of palaeo-tectonic stress and the loading sequence of stress by using of large scale numerical simulation software ANSYS and FLAC. The simulation results show that two stages of large tectonic movement should have taken place at Chengzhuang coal mine in history, that is it is in east-west direction at first, and then turned to south- north direction; and the magnitudes and directions of tectonic stress are 60Mpa, east- west direction, and then 110 Mpa, south north direction respectively. This tectonic action could meet most shear joints on the earth and in the 3# coal rock taken place simultaneity. The region with a weak resistance capacity to deformation is easily destroyed in uniform stress field, because the shearing resistance capacity of rock mass namely internal friction angle was different. This analysis has an important significance to risk zoning and gas outburst regional predicting in coal mine.
East Open-pit of Daye Iron Mine was divided into eight areas through engineering geologic investigation. The type of rock mass structure, major characteristics of structural plane and the forms of slope failure were analyzed respectively. We established the risk evaluation system of high and steep slope in Daye Iron Mine and divided East Open-pit into landslide area, extremely unstable area, unstable area, partial unstable area, stable area and extremely stable area. A set of warning and emergency rescue system of geological hazard for high and steep slope in Daye Iron Mine was developed which includes two parts, one was warning system, and the other was emergency rescue system. The system has achieved the goal of disaster prevention and reduction effectively, and ensured the safety of passengers and mining personnel in National Mine Park.
Landslide risk assessment can quantify the potential damage caused by landslides to disaster-bearing bodies, which can help to reduce casualties and economic losses. It is not only a tool for disaster prevention and mitigation, but also a key step to achieve the coordinated development of the environment, economy, and society, and it provides important support for the realization of the global sustainable development goals (SDGs). In this study, a risk assessment method is proposed for an individual landslide based on the non-probabilistic reliability theory. The method represents an improvement to and innovation in existing risk assessment methods, which can obtain more accurate assessment results with fewer sample data points, refines the methods and steps of landslide risk assessment, and fully considers the destabilization mechanism of the landslide and the interaction with disaster-bearing bodies. A non-probabilistic reliability analysis of the slope was conducted, and the possibility of landslide occurrence was characterized by the failure value of the slope. Moreover, the influence range of the landslide was predicted using empirical formulas; space–time distribution probabilities of the disaster-bearing bodies were estimated by combining their location and activity patterns; and the vulnerability of the disaster-bearing bodies was calculated according to the landslide intensity and the resistance or susceptibility index of the disaster-bearing bodies. The method’s feasibility was verified through its application to the Xiatudiling landslide as a case study. In the process of performing slope stability calculations, it was found that the calculation results of the Monte Carlo method were consistent with those of the non-probabilistic reliability approach proposed in this paper, which was able to obtain more accurate results with less sample data. The personnel life and economic risks were 1.8499 persons/year and CNY 184,858/year (USD 25,448/year), respectively, under heavy rainfall conditions. The results were compared with the risk judgment criteria for geological disasters, and both risk values were unacceptable. After landslide treatment, the possibility of landslide occurrence was reduced, and the personnel life risk and economic risk of the landslide were also reduced. Both risk values then became acceptable. The effect of landslide treatment was obvious. The proposed method provides a new technique for assessing landslide risks and can help in designing mitigation strategies. This method can be applied to landslide risk surveys conducted by geological disaster prevention institutions, demonstrating enhanced applicability in data-scarce regions to improve risk assessment efficiency. It is particularly suitable for emergency management authorities, enabling rapid and comprehensive assessment of landslide risk levels to support informed decision making during critical response scenarios.
