N.PEANUT CULTURE YIELD UNDER DIFFERENT SALT WATER IRRIGATION SUPPRESSIONS 2 ABSTRACT The water deficit associated with salt stress affects the productivity of agricultural crops. The objective was to evaluate the productivity of peanut culture irrigated with low and high salinity water submitted to different suppression intervals. The experiment was conducted under field conditions, from August to October 2019 at the Experimental Farm of Piroás, Redenção-CE. The experimental design used for the randomized blocks in a factorial arrangement, with the first factor is the salinity of the irrigation water (1.0 and 4.0 dS m-¹) and the second factor, four suppression intervals (IS1 = 40 a 55 DAS; IS2 = 55 to 70 DAS; IS3 = 70 to 85 DAS and IS4 = without suppression intervals), with four repetitions. The following variables were evaluated: number, mass, pod length and diameter and yield. Treatment without water suppression interval associated with less saline water provides a greater number and diameter of pods. Higher salinity water affects pod mass and length. The use of water of greater or lesser salinity without interval of suppression of irrigation offers the highest yield of the peanut culture. Keywords: Arachis hypogaea L., water déficit, saline stress.

Excessive salts in irrigation water and water stress have a negative impact on the productive yield of agricultural crops. In this regard, the objective was to evaluate the effect of combined saline and water stress on the agronomic performance of the beet crop. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse located at the Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira, in Redenção, Ceará. The experimental design used was completely randomized with split-plots arrangement. The main plots were formed by the electrical conductivities of the irrigation water (0.8, 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, and 6.0 dS m-1), while the irrigation depths of 50 and 100% of the crop evapotranspiration (ETc) were the subplots, with 6 replications. Saline stress negatively affected growth, biomass, tuber root length, and productivity, while increasing the soluble solids of the beet crop. Excessive salts in the irrigation water caused reductions in physiological indices of the beet crop, although with less severity under the 100% ETc.

The use of Bacillus sp. mitigates salt stress and increases the productive yield in soybean plants. In this context, the objective of the present study was to evaluate the production of soybean grown under different forms of fertilization and salt stress, inoculated with Bacillus sp. The experiment was performed in the experimental area of the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (UNILAB), Redenção, Ceará, Brazil. A completely randomized design was used in a 4 x 2 x 2 factorial scheme, with five replications, corresponding to four forms of fertilization (F1 = 100% of the NPK recommendation; F2 = 50% of the NPK recommendation; F3 = 100% bovine biofertilizer; F4 = organomineral fertilization - 50% NPK + 50% bovine biofertilizer), two electrical conductivities of the irrigation water (ECw - 0.3 and 4.0 dS m-1), with and without inoculation of Bacillus sp. The forms of fertilization organic with 100% of the recommendation through bovine biofertilizer, organomineral fertilization - 50% mineral and 50% organic with bovine biofertilizer, and 50% of the NPK recommendation promote greater productive performance of the soybean crop irrigated with water of lower salinity. Organomineral fertilization - 50% mineral and 50% organic with bovine biofertilizer was more efficient for soybean production, in the absence or presence of Bacillus sp. Salt stress negatively affected the production components of soybean crop under all forms of fertilization.

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an important agricultural crop in Brazil, considered one of the most important oilseed crops cultivated. The use of fertilizer-solubilizing bacteria can mitigate salt stress. The objective of this study was to evaluate the gas exchange, growth, and water use efficiency of the peanut crop irrigated with brackish water under phosphate fertilization and inoculated with bacteria of the genus Bacillus sp. The experimental design used in this study was completely randomized, in a 4 × 2 × 2 factorial scheme, with 5 replicates, referring to the forms of fertilization (F1 - 0% phosphorus, F2 - 50% phosphorus, F3 - 100% phosphorus, and F4 - bovine biofertilizer), presence and absence of the inoculant and two levels of electrical conductivity of the irrigation water (ECw - 0.3 and 4.0 dS m-1). Fertilization with organic fertilizer (100% biofertilizer) and mineral fertilizer (50 and 100% phosphorus) associated with Bacillus sp. mitigated the damage caused by salt stress and promoted greater water use efficiency, chlorophyll index, internal CO2 concentration and stem diameter. The control treatment (without phosphate fertilization and without salt stress) and the application of Bacillus sp. promoted greater performance in net photosynthesis, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, and plant height in peanut plants.

The interaction between agricultural environment and alternative substrates can attenuate salt stress in zucchini seedlings. Based on that, the objective of this work was to evaluate the production of zucchini seedlings irrigated with saline water and cultivated in different types of environments and substrates. The experimental design was completely randomized, using a split-split plots scheme, with the plot being the three cultivation environments (AM1= full sun; AM2= red screen with 50% shading; AM3= black screen with 50% shading), subplot the three substrates (SB1= biochar + soil; SB2= carbonized rice husk + soil; SB3= cattle manure + soil) and the subplot the two irrigation waters (AI1= 0.8 and AI2= 2.5 dS m-1), with four replications of twenty-five seeds. The variables analyzed were: emergence percentage (EP), emergence speed index (ESI), mean time of emergence (MTE), mean speed of emergence (MSE), stem diameter (SD), seedling height (SH) , root length (RL), shoot dry mass (SDM), root dry mass (RDM) and total dry mass (TDM). The AM3 environment presented better conditions for the variables: EP, ESI and MSE. The environment AM2 presented better conditions for the variable MTE with the use of substrates SB2 and SB3 regardless of the salinity of the irrigation water. The SB3 substrate showed better growth conditions for the variables: SH, SD, SDM and TDM. The SB2 substrate provided better conditions for the variable RDM.

PEREIRA, M. J. L.; GOES, G. G. de INITIAL GROWTH OF SESAME CULTIVARS UNDER SALINE STRESS 2 ABSTRACT Irrigation with brackish water is a challenge in the initial development of agricultural crops. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of saline stress on the emergence, growth and biomass of sesame cultivars. The research was carried out at the Auroras Seedling Production Unit, which is linked to the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony, Redemption, Ceara. The design used was completely randomized, with 5 replications in a 3 × 5 factorial scheme, with the first factor being three sesame cultivars (C1 = BRS Silk, C2 = BRS Anahí and C3 = BRS Morena) and the second factor referring to five electrical conductivities of the irrigation water (0.8, 1.6, 2.4, 3.2 and 4.0 dS m -1). Increasing the electrical conductivity of the irrigation water from 1.6 dS m -1 increased the emergence speed index and average emergence rate but reduced the average emergence rate in the sesame cultivars. Salinity stress negatively affects the plant height, root length and shoot dry mass of sesame plants, regardless of cultivar. The electrical conductivity of the irrigation water above 2.08 dS m -1 reduced the stem diameter of the sesame cultivars. Keywords: Sesamum indicum L., salinity, oleaginous.
