Assistant Professor and Curator of the Mexican National Wood Collection at the Department of Botany of the Institute of Biology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Completed his MsC and PhD at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and post-doc at the National Museum of Natural History of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC (US). Currently interested in all aspects related to the increase of anatomical complexity in vascular plants, from cambial variants to galls.
