Yuezhong Meng is the Pearl River Chair Professor at Sun Yat-sen University. He received his BSc, MSc, and PhD from Dalian University of Technology. He worked at the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong; McGill University, the University of Waterloo, Canada; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and the National University of Singapore for more than eight years. He became a “Hundred Talents” member of the CAS in 1998. He has published 360 papers in refereed international journals and holds 101 U.S. and Chinese patents. His research areas include exploratory functional polymers, the chemical utilization of carbon dioxide, and new energy materials.
