Narcisa Vrinceanu earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iași and a PhD in the same specialty from “Gh.Asachi” Technical University of Iași in 2009 and is a lecturer at “L.Blaga” University of Sibiu, Romania. Her research expertise includes improving the performance of different fibrous substrates by chemical and physical modification, such as laser and plasma irradiation and deposition of synthesized nanoparticles. She has published 46 scientific papers in ISI-indexed journals, aimed at direct applications of nanomaterials on textile supports to create clothing with enhanced comfort, water purification applications, and smart materials with antibacterial attributes.
