William A. Anderson is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. His current and continuing research interests are in environmental and resource issues, including air pollution control, antimicrobial materials and processes, biochemical engineering, and resource and energy recovery from wastes. Current projects include gas purification and emissions control, UV air treatment and disinfection, applications of nanoparticles in water testing, and antimicrobial materials. His award-nominated research work has been supported by a wide variety of government funding agencies and private-sector partners, and has supported the launch of several new commercialized technologies.
