This study aims to investigate the effect of gender diversity in board of directors in banks on environmental, economic, social, and governance (CSR) reporting. The sample comprises 85 banks operating in the Central and West Balkan region. Research results suggest that gender diversity in a two-tier board system in bank boards does not affect CSR reporting as measured by the constructed EESG index with statistical significance. However, taking into consideration specific elements of this index, we found that gender diversity on the supervisory board had a positive effect on variables that compose this index. This is the first study to provide insight into gender and the CSR reporting nexus in the Central and West Balkan region. This study contributes to the discussions on those issues in a global scale and in terms of the banking sector in particular.
This manuscript deals with a novel two-parameter stochastic distribution, obtained by transforming the Cauchy distribution, using generalized logistic mapping, into a unit interval. In this way, according to the well-known properties of the Cauchy distribution, a unit random variable with significantly accentuated values at the ends of the unit interval is obtained. Therefore, the proposed stochastic distribution, named the Cauchy–logistic unit distribution, represents a stochastic model that may be suitable for modeling phenomena and processes with emphasized extreme values. Key stochastic properties of the CLU distribution are examined, such as moments, entropy, modality, and symmetry conditions. In addition, a quantile-based parameter estimation procedure, an asymptotic analysis of the thus obtained estimators, and their Monte Carlo simulation study are conducted. Finally, the application of the proposed distribution in stochastic modeling of some real-world data with emphasized extreme values is provided.

In this paper, we study the Hankel transform of a sequence defined by the series reversion of a certain rational function A(x). Using the method based on orthogonal polynomials, we give closed-form evaluations of the Hankel transform of and shifted sequences. It is also shown that the Hankel transforms satisfy certain ratio conditions which recover the sequence whose generating function is A(x). Therefore, we indicate that the term-wise ratios of Hankel transforms of shifted sequences are noteworthy objects of study, giving us more insight into the processes involved in the Hankel transform.

This paper provides the connection between the Hankel transform and aerating transforms of a given integer sequence. Two different aerating transforms are introduced and closed-form expressions are derived for the Hankel transform of such aerated sequences. Combinations of both aerating and the Hankel transforms are also considered. Our results are general and can be applied to a wide class of integer sequences. As an application, we use our tools on the sequence of shifted Catalan numbers (Cn+t)n∈ℕ0. For that purpose, we need to evaluate the Hankel and Hankel-like determinants based on the Catalan numbers. Our approach is based on the results of Gessel and Viennot [Determinants, paths, and plane partitions preprint. Available from: http://www.cs.brandeis.edu/ ira] and more recent results of Krattenthaler [Determinants of (generalised) Catalan numbers. J. Statist. Plann. Inference 2010; 240: 2260–2270]. We generalize a sequence obtained by the series reversion of Q(x)=x/(1+α x+β x2) (studied in our previous paper [Bojičić R, Petković MD, Barry P. Hankel transform of a sequence obtained by series reversion. Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. DOI: 10.1080/10652469.2011.640326]) and provide the Hankel transform evaluation of that sequence and its shifted sequences.
The resource potential of the agricultural sector in Kosovo and Metohija is not sufficiently used, but there is certainly a need for agricultural production, as one of the primary activities, in places inhabited by non-Albanians. The aim of this paper is to analyze the development and potential of organic production in Kosovo and Metohija. For the purposes of this paper, an original questionnaire was formulated, based on when a direct survey conducted in July and August 2021 was conducted. Also, the owner of the only agricultural cooperative "Zubin Potok" in this area, was interviewed. The research showed that a more than thirty/four percent (34,7%) of respondents answered that they plan to expand production, good part of the respondents (23,3%) pointed out that they are interested in a some kind of education if it would be organized by professionals, while more than 90% of respondents involved in organic production said it would mean some form of subsidy or local or international aid. The authors point out that for the development of organic production in Kosovo and Metohija, it is necessary to provide financial support to farms, but also to build a stable market of organic products, which would contribute to the stability and competitiveness of this food production system.
As a result of the climate in which it is produced, as well as its recognizable taste and quality, the Šar cheese is a high demand product on the market of Kosovo and Metohija. The authors will, based on the research presented in this paper, give an overview of the production and the main carriers of the Šar cheese production. It will also present how Šar cheese production may be used in helping people survive in Sirinićka Župa. This paper would also, through direct surveys, observe perceptions and attitudes of the inhabitants of this region and provide practical guidelines on the production of the Šar cheese as development potential of the municipality of Štrpce, and recommend further agricultural reforms and tourist capacities of this region.
