Dr. Jadwiga Wójkowska-Mach

Jadwiga Wojkowska-Mach is a Professor and the Chair of Microbiology Medical Faculty Jagiellonian University Medical College, Kraków, Poland, and a specialist in epidemiology and molecular biology. Her research and scientific interests concern antibiotics and nosocomial infections with the use of modern epidemiology. She is a member of the National Focal Point for Healthcare-Associated Infections for Poland (ARHAI Program) in the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) epidemiological surveillance system and author and co-author of many scientific papers. She is a member of the editorial board of the Polish Journal of Microbiology and BMC Infectious Diseases. She has cooperated with many recognized scientific institutions from around the world, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in the United States, the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Consumer Policy, Laboratoire d'Épidémiologie et Santé Publique Universite Claude Bernard in Lyon, DG SANCO in Brussels, and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm.
