Gabriela Souza Alves graduated in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) of the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Presidente Prudente, SP, Brazil. She is currently a Master's student in the Postgraduate Program in Biochemistry (Capes Concept 6) at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto (FMRP) at the University of São Paulo (USP), SP, Brazil. She is developing research in the area of biochemistry with an emphasis on biochemistry of microorganisms, enzymology, as well as submerged cultivation of filamentous fungi.
