Dr. Niki Vassilaki received her Ph.D. degree in Molecular Virology from the Department of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2006. Currently, she serves as a researcher and group leader in Molecular Virology at the Microbiology Department of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute (HPI). Her research interests mainly include the molecular biology of Flaviviridae viruses, HCV (Hepatitis C), DENV (Dengue), YFV (Yellow Fever), and Hepadnavirus HBV, with a main focus on mechanisms of viral translation and replication as well as on molecular mechanisms of action of replication inhibitors.
