Fomin, Ivan Aleksandrovich, was born in 1983 in Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region. In 2020, he completed a postgraduate course at the Tyumen State University, Tyumen, Russia, with a specialty in Earth Sciences ("Geoecology"), with honors. In 2011 he graduated with honors and received a master's degree in Geography and Natural Sciences. From 2002 to 2006, he completed his studies—with honors—at the North Kazakhstan State University, with a specialty in geography.
