Graduated in Biotechnology, undergraduate course linked to the Institute of Biotechnology (IBTEC) of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Master's in Genetics and Biochemistry at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and PhD in Genetics and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Uberlândia. Member of the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Research areas of interest are biochemistry and molecular biology, biotechnology and cell biology, with the emphasis on salivary and blood biomarkers, microRNAs, physical exercise, stress, health and diabetes. He also develops research with medicinal plants and natural products from the biodiversity of the Cerrado biome, for studies of therapeutic targets in experimental models of diabetes, induced stress, pain and inflammation.
