Dr. Florin Dumitru Mihăltan is a Professor of Pneumology at the Marius Nasta Institute of Pneumology in Bucharest, where he also serves as the head of the Pulmonology III Department. He graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine in 1997 and received his Ph.D. in 1992. With over 40 years of experience in the field, Dr. Mihăltan's research interests include COPD, smoking cessation, asthma, and OSA. He has authored or co-authored over 500 articles published in national and international specialized journals, as well as multiple monographs, book chapters, and books. Dr. Mihăltan is a member of several professional societies, including the Romanian Society of Pneumology, CHEST, ATS, SPLF, OGP, and ERS.
