Saraswati Pokharel received an M.D. in Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu, Nepal Medical School (1993–2000), and a Ph.D. degree in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology and Molecular Biology, University of Maastricht and University of Groningen, The Netherlands (2000–2004). She currently works at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, as an Associate Professor of Oncology, Chief of Pathology, and Director of Thoracic Pathology. Saraswati Pokharel earned Board Certification in Cytopathology in 2012 and Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology in 2011 at the American Board of Pathology. Saraswati Pokharel was awarded as “Buffalo Spree Top Doctor”.
