Dr. Subrata Chandra Das is a Researcher at the Advanced and Sustainable Engineering Materials Laboratory (ASEM-lab), within the research group of Sustainable Composites, Department of Manufacturing and Civil Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Gjøvik campus, Norway. He earned his Ph.D. from NTNU, where his research focused on the assessment of long-term performance of natural fibre reinforced polymer composites with recyclable polymer matrices under different environmental ageing conditions. Dr. Das holds both Bachelor`s and Master's degrees in Textile Engineering. His core expertise lies in the fabrication and characterization of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites, hybrid composites, environmental ageing of composites, and recycling of composite materials. His broader research interests encompass bio-based sustainable materials, textile materials, nanomaterials, nanocomposites, circular economy strategies, and life cycle assessment (LCA). He has actively disseminated his research through publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and invited scientific talks. In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Das serves as a peer reviewer for several reputable journals and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Natural Fibers (Taylor & Francis).
