At present, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Herbal Medicines Resources Research Center, the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Republic of Korea. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in biotechnology from Manonmaniam Sundranar University, India. I pursued a master's and doctoral degree in biotechnology from Alagappa University, India. My doctoral research involves the identification of potential bioactives from medicinal plants against the opportunistic fungal pathogen Candida spp. Now, I am working in the field of cachexia, and my research focuses on identifying the key molecular pathways related to muscle wasting syndrome, cachexia. I have published 10 research and review articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals with a cumulative impact factor of 45 and filed one Indian patent. Further, I am serving as a reviewer in the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Toxicology.
