I am a human-environment interaction scientist. My research interests are in hydrology, and social vulnerability & adaption in the context of climate change. More specifically, I am interested in water (in)security. I use GIS, qualitative, participatory, and quantitative methods in my research to integrate perspectives of hydrology, political ecology, and human ecology across spatial and temporal scales. I conduct research and write on water issues in Cape Town, South Africa, the Sahel of West Africa, and along the southwest coast of Nicaragua.
