James Adams received a PhD degree from UC San Francisco in Pharmacology. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine, then a Staff Fellow at the NIH, and then an Assistant Professor at Washington State University. He is now an Associate Professor at the University of Southern California where he as been an active teacher and researcher since 1987. Dr. Adams works on California medicinal plants and was trained by a Chumash Indian Healer for 14 years in their use and preparation. He is an expert on pain, chronic pain and how to cure chronic pain.
