Nano-polydopamine-graphene oxide-TiO2 (nano-PDA@GO-TiO2) composites were prepared by dopamine modified graphene oxide (GO) and loaded nano-TiO2 on the surface of GO. The structure and morphology of nano-PDA@GO-TiO2 composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), and Transmission electron microscope (TEM) Results demonstrate that the introduction of dopamine to functionalize the GO could self-polymerize polydopamine (PDA) on the surfaces of the GO and endow abundant chemical groups reduce the GO. The interaction between the GO and nano-TiO2 particles could prevent graphene nanosheets from restacking and nano-TiO2 particles from agglomeration. Nano-PDA@GO-TiO2 composite material was used as the nano-filler, and nano-PDA@GO-TiO2 composites waterborne epoxy resin coatings (PGT/WEP) were prepared by dispersing a different content of nano-PDA@GO-TiO2 composites into waterborne epoxy resin with the help of ultrasonic dispersion and mechanical agitation. The physical properties of PGT/WEP coatings, such as hardness, impact resistance, and adhesion, were tested and the electrochemical performance was evaluated. The results show that dispersing 2% nano-PDA@GO-TiO2 composites in waterborne epoxy resin could significantly improve the physical properties and corrosion resistance of waterborne epoxy resin coating when compared with pure waterborne epoxy coating.

The natural gas hydrate plugging problems in the mixed pipeline are becoming more and more serious. The hydrate plugging has gradually become an important problem to ensure the safety of pipeline operation. The deposition and heat transfer characteristics of natural gas hydrate particles in the spiral flow pipeline have been studied. The DPM model (discrete phase model) was used to simulate the motion of solid particles, which was used to simulate the complex spiral flow characteristics of hydrate in the pipeline with a long twisted band. The deposition and heat transfer characteristics of gas hydrate particles in the spiral flow pipeline were studied. The velocity distribution, pressure drop distribution, heat transfer characteristics, and particle settling characteristics in the pipeline were investigated. The numerical results showed that compared with the straight flow without a long twisted band, two obvious eddies are formed in the flow field with a long twisted band, and the velocities are maximum at the center of the vortices. Along the direction of the pipeline, the two vortices move toward the pipe wall from near the twisted band, which can effectively carry the hydrate particles deposited on the wall. With the same Reynolds number, the twisted rate was greater, the spiral strength was weaker, the tangential velocity was smaller, and the pressure drop was smaller. Therefore, the pressure loss can be reduced as much as possible with effect of the spiral flow. In a straight light flow, the Nusselt number is in a parabolic shape with the opening downwards. At the center of the pipe, the Nusselt number gradually decreased toward the pipe wall at the maximum, and at the near wall, the attenuation gradient of the Nu number was large. For spiral flow, the curve presented by the Nusselt number was a trough at the center of the pipe and a peak at 1/2 of the pipe diameter. With the reduction of twist rate, the Nusselt number becomes larger. Therefore, the spiral flow can make the temperature distribution more even and prevent the large temperature difference, resulting in the mass formation of hydrate particles in the pipeline wall. Spiral flow has a good carrying effect. Under the same condition, the spiral flow carried hydrate particles at a distance about 3–4 times farther than that of the straight flow.

The rapid increasing amount of produced water in the deep-water and ultra-deep-water fields, especially those at their later development stages, increases the risk of the occurrence of hydrates plugging. In order to prevent and remediate the hydrates risks, it is important to understand the hydrate formation, slurry flow, and plugging characteristics and mechanisms under high water cuts conditions. In this paper, experiments with high water cuts ranging from 60–100% were conducted using a high pressure flow loop with observation windows. The whole processes of the hydrate formation, slurry flow and plugging is visually seen and recorded, and has been discussed and explained in detail in this paper. Moreover, it is found that the increasing water cuts shorten the induction time, but increase the volume fraction of hydrates. As the water cuts increase, the flow time of the hydrate slurry decreases, which serves as a critical parameter for the safe operation of the pipeline. In addition, different hypothetical mechanisms have been proposed for the medium and high water cuts conditions. We believe that this research can provide theoretical support for the safe transportation of oil and gas development in the high water cut oilfield.

A physical model experiment of flume block landslide was used to study the influence of landslide surge impact on underwater pipeline surface under different water depths. The influence of surge impact pressure on pipelines with different water depths and the impact pressure of surge at different angles of underwater pipelines wall were analyzed. And the relationship between the maximum impact pressure of underwater pipelines and the depth of water was obtained. The results indicated that with the decrease of the water depths, the maximum impact pressure at the wall of the underwater pipeline increases approximately linearly, and the slider is easier to form higher first wave height. The maximum impact pressure of the upper surface of the pipeline wall is greater than that of the lower surface of the pipeline wall under the same working conditions. It is also found that the smaller the depth of water, the larger the maximum pressure and average pressure at the measuring point would be and the greater the pressure fluctuation becomes when slider volume and landslide water inlet angle and speed remain the same.
