Dr. Ionuț Iulian Lungu is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, Romania, and a licensed pharmacist. His research focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and biological evaluation of complex combinations, particularly metal–polyphenol complexes and metal-based nanosystems with potential pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. His scientific interests include coordination chemistry, green synthesis of nanoparticles, functional biomaterials, and the use of analytical and separation techniques in pharmaceutical sciences. A significant part of his work is dedicated to understanding structure–activity relationships and modulating the biological activity of bioactive compounds through metal complexation.
