Dr. Qiang Zhang has a Ph.D. in Engineering and is an associate professor and master's and doctoral supervisor at China University of Mining and Technology. He is engaged in research and teachwa mining engineering, mechanical design, and computer simulation. He is currently a member of the Youth Expert Committee of the National Key Laboratory of Coking Coal Resources Development and Comprehensive Utilization and a young editor and reviewer for high-level industry journals such as the “Journal of China University of Mining and Technology”, the “Journal of China Coal Society”, and the “Journal of Mining and Safety Engineering”. He has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation general project, one National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund project, one China University of Mining and Technology Youth Fund, and one talent introduction funding project. He has participated in five vertical projects, such as the National Key R&D Program, and presided over more than ten corporate scientific and technological innovation projects. He has published 60 academic papers. He has been granted 45 invention patents. He has won nine science and technology progress awards, including the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and a First Prize in Science and Technology from the China Coal Industry. He has created one national standard and five industry standards.
