Dr. Noura S. Dosoky is a member of the APRC executive board. Her focus is on natural product drug discovery (medicinal chemistry). She holds a BS with honors in Biological Sciences (Botany) and an MS in Phytochemistry, both from Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt. In 2015, she was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology Science and Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Huntsville, AL, USA. She was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine-Vanderbilt University from 2016 until she joined APRC in 2018. She published over 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals on the composition and bioactivity of essential oils from wild plants, drug discovery from non-volatile plant components, drug discovery using nanotechnology, and lipid analysis using LCMS. She has 63 papers publications with 1775 citations and an h-index of 21 (Scopus, 26 October 2023). She is currently working on the isolation and identification of bioactive compounds from natural sources.
