Background: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) causes various types of cancer in both men and women. Woman with HPV infection has a risk of developing invasive cervical cancer. Globally, HPV 16 and 18 were predominant. This study aims to find the distribution of various HPV types in South Andaman. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among women in South Andaman, where cervical scrapes were collected after collecting written informed consent. Detection of HPV genotypes was carried out by using a PCR assay. Further, sequencing analysis was performed using MEGA11 to identify various genotypes in this territory. Result: Of these 1000 samples, 32 were positive for HR-HPV 16, and four were positive for HR-HPV 18. Fifteen HPV genotypes were detected using molecular evolutionary analysis. Six cases were identified with multiple genotypes. The most prevalent genotype is HPV 16 which belongs to Lineage-A and sub-lineage A2. HPV 18 identified in South Andaman belonged to the lineage A1 to A5. Discussion: Various HPV types were identified among women in South Andaman. Global burden of cervical cancer associated with various HPV sub-lineages. HPV-16 A1 sub-lineage was globally widespread, whereas sub-lineages A1, A2 and D1 prevailed in South Andaman. Conclusions: HR-HPV identified in this study enlightens the importance of HPV vaccination among women in remote places. These findings will help to strengthen public health awareness programs and prevention strategies for women in remote areas.

Background & Objectives: Dyspepsia is a relatively common clinical condition characterized by chronic / recurrent upper abdominal pain or discomfort and is often associated with one or more of following symptoms at any given time - upper abdominal pain, burning sensation in the chest or upper abdomen, regurgitation, anorexia and early satiety. The present study was done to estimate the prevalence of Intestinal Metaplasia (IM) in the stomach in unselected patients with dyspepsia and to correlate these changes with symptoms, risk factors and endoscopic findings. Methods: We evaluated 102 patients who presented with symptoms of dyspepsia. Relevant clinical details were noted. A minimum of 9 endoscopic mucosal biopsies were taken from all subjects and in addition, biopsies were also taken from endoscopically abnormal areas. Rapid Urease Test (Standard in-house method) was done. All gastric biopsies were graded according to the Updated Sydney System. Statistical analysis was done using Chi-square test. Results: Intestinal metaplasia (IM) was seen in 16.7% of the patients, predominantly in the antrum (10.8%) and all of them showed Type II IM. Atrophic gastritis was again seen predominantly (65.2%) in the gastric antrum and these patients had significantly less (P=0.0065) H. pylori infection. Reflux symptoms were significantly less in patients with IM. Conclusion: We found a prevalence rate of 16.7% of Type II Intestinal Metaplasia of the stomach, which was topographically preponderant in the antrum.

The American joint committee on cancer (AJCC) eighth edition staging system integrates clinical laboratory testing for a more comprehensive and personalized prognostic staging criteria. This study aims to revaluate the clinic pathological character of tumour and prognostic staging system. Retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with invasive breast carcinoma for the period of four years from August 2016 – July 2020, conventional anatomic staging were restaged to prognostic staging. total 77 cases 23 (29.9%) cases stage unchanged, 18 (23.4%) cases Down staged and 36 (46.7%) cases upstaged. 36.5% cases of grade II were down staged, as it is ER, PR positive and Her 2 Neu negative, 90.5% of grade III were upstaged all cases were triple negative. More sample size and survival rate estimation along with present study will provide more insight toward the changes and impact on tumour biology and predictive value of prognostic staging of 8th edition AJCC.

Aim: Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. While antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) offer targeted therapeutic options, they are often limited by toxicity, immunogenicity, complex pharmacokinetics, and high production costs. Polyclonal antibodies—capable of recognizing multiple epitopes—present a promising, yet underexplored, alternative for targeted drug delivery. The stage-specific presence of secreted, stable immunoglobulins (IGs) in CRC and their potential utility in drug conjugation strategies remain largely uncharacterized. Methods: This study utilized electrospray ionization nano-liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-nanoLC-MS/MS) proteomic analysis on pre-treatment plasma samples across CRC stages to identify stage-specific IGs. Venn diagram comparisons refined IG candidates, while protein stability was assessed using ProtParam. Molecular docking simulations (via CB-Dock2), epitope mapping (via CABS-dock), and cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) prediction were integrated to explore epitope pairing between IGs and Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (K-Ras) neoantigen, evaluating their potential for polyclonal drug conjugates (pPDCs). Results: A total of 325 secreted IGs were initially identified, with 46 found to be stage-specific. Protein stability analysis shortlisted 5 IGs—3 for early-stage and 2 for advanced-stage CRC. Molecular docking revealed that IG heavy variable 3-64 (IGHV3-64) exhibited high-affinity binding with Irinotecan [binding free energy (ΔG) = −10.0 kcal/mol] and showed epitope-level pairing with K-Ras at residues 2–17 and 106–114. Additional CPP motif analysis supported the potential of IGHV3-64-derived peptides for intracellular delivery, reinforcing their promise in pPDC development. Conclusions: IGHV3-64 emerges as a strong candidate biomarker for advanced-stage CRC, demonstrating consistent binding affinity to Irinotecan and epitope pairing with K-Ras. Its inherent CPP features further support its potential for targeted, intracellular delivery in pPDCs design. These findings highlight a novel direction in personalized cancer immunotherapy, warranting further in vitro and in vivo validation to confirm clinical utility.
