Prof. Dr. Eduardo Lucas Subtil earned his PhD in Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering from the University of São Paulo in 2012, including a research period at the University of Cantabria (Spain). He is currently an adjunct professor in the Environmental and Urban Engineering programs and the postgraduate course in Environmental Science and Technology at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). At UFABC, he coordinates the Laboratory of Technologies for the Treatment of Urban Wastewater and Water Reuse (TecTAUS). Additionally, he serves as a collaborating researcher at the International Reference Center for Water Reuse (CIRRA) at the University of São Paulo (USP). Prof. Subtil has also been a visiting researcher at the University of New South Wales (Australia) with the UNESCO Centre for Membrane Science and Technology. His expertise in Environmental Engineering includes advanced sewage treatment, water recovery and reuse, membrane separation processes, membrane bioreactors (MBR), nutrient removal, water quality modeling, and submarine outfalls.
