This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) classification and energy management strategies (EMS), with a particular emphasis on the application and potential of genetic algorithms (GAs) in optimizing energy management strategies for hybrid electric vehicles. Initially, the paper categorizes hybrid electric vehicles based on mixing rates and power source configurations, elucidating the operational principles and the range of applicability for different hybrid electric vehicle types. Following this, the two primary categories of energy management strategies—rule-based and optimization-based—are introduced, emphasizing their significance in enhancing energy efficiency and performance, while also acknowledging their inherent limitations. Furthermore, the advantages of utilizing genetic algorithms in optimizing energy management systems for hybrid vehicles are underscored. As a global optimization technique, genetic algorithms are capable of effectively addressing complex multi-objective problems by circumventing local optima and identifying the global optimal solution. The adaptability and versatility of genetic algorithms allow them to conduct real-time optimization across diverse driving conditions. Genetic algorithms play a pivotal role in hybrid vehicle energy management and exhibit a promising future. When combined with other optimization techniques, genetic algorithms can augment the optimization potential for tackling complex tasks. Nonetheless, the advancement of this technique is confronted with challenges such as cost, battery longevity, and charging infrastructure, which significantly influence its widespread adoption and application.
As a raw material for sugar, ethanol, and energy, sugarcane plays an important role in China’s strategic material reserves, economic development, and energy production. To guarantee the sustainable growth of the sugarcane industry and boost sustainable energy reserves, it is imperative to forecast the yield in the primary sugarcane production regions. However, due to environmental differences caused by regional differences and changeable climate, the accuracy of traditional models is generally low. In this study, we counted the environmental information and yield of the main sugarcane-producing areas in the past 15 years, adopted the LSSVM algorithm to construct the environmental information and sugarcane yield model, and combined it with WCA to optimize the parameters of LSSVM. To verify the validity of the proposed model, WCA-LSSVM is applied to two instances based on temporal differences and geographical differences and compared with other models. The results show that the accuracy of the WCA-LSSVM model is much better than that of other yield prediction models. The RMSE of the two instances are 5.385 ton/ha and 5.032 ton/ha, respectively, accounting for 7.65% and 6.92% of the average yield. And the other evaluation indicators MAE, R2, MAPE, and SMAPE are also ahead of the other models to varying degrees. We also conducted a sensitivity analysis of environmental variables at different growth stages of sugarcane and found that in addition to the main influencing factors (temperature and precipitation), soil humidity at different depths had a significant impact on crop yield. In conclusion, this study presents a highly precise model for predicting sugarcane yield, a useful tool for planning sugarcane production, enhancing yield, and advancing the field of agricultural production prediction.
Developing high-precision vehicle longitudinal control technology guided by ecological driving represents a highly promising yet challenging endeavor. It necessitates the fulfillment of the driver’s operational intentions, precise speed control, and reduced fuel consumption. In light of this challenge, this study presents a novel vehicle longitudinal control model that integrates real-time driving style analysis and road slope prediction. First, it utilizes spectral clustering based on Bi-LSTM automatic encoders to identify driver driving styles. Next, it examines the driving environment and predicts the current slope of the vehicle. Additionally, a fuzzy controller is designed to optimize control performance, adapt to various driving styles and slopes, and achieve better fuel efficiency. The research results indicate that the DS-MPC control model developed in this paper can effectively distinguish various driving modes and has high speed control accuracy while saving 3.27% of fuel.
Nowadays, refrigerated food storage and transport vehicles are very common. However, with regard to the engine of vehicles, a significant amount of heat is discharged into the environment in the form of exhaust gas and jacket water. If the cooling system is used to convert this waste heat into cooling capacity, the thermal efficiency of the engine will be improved to a certain extent. Therefore, this paper uses two waste heat recovery jet refrigeration systems to recover heat from the exhaust gas and jacket water of the refrigerated vehicle. One is a conventional jet refrigeration system that uses only engine exhaust as the heat source, and the other is a system that adds a preheater upstream of the generator based on the conventional system, using engine jacket water to preheat the working fluid. This paper presents the results of comparing the impact of R141b/R123, R141b/R245fa, R142b/R134a, and R142b/R152a working fluids on system performance, and considers the effects of operating temperature and secondary flow pressure drop in the ejector receiving chamber on the system performance. The research results indicate that of the four selected working fluids, the R141b/R245fa (0.4/0.6) blend has the best overall performance. After the addition of a preheater, the system using R142b/R134a (0.6/0.4) hybrid working fluid achieves the maximum cooling capacity of 16.0994 kW and the maximum thermal efficiency of 5.45%, and the exergy loss in the generator is 1 kW lower than without the preheater.
Nowadays, there is an increasing focus on enhancing the economy of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). This study builds a framework model for the parameter optimization of hybrid powertrains in user driving cycles. Unlike the optimization under standard driving cycles, the applied user driving cycle incarnates realistic driving situations, and the optimization results are more realistic. Firstly, the user driving cycle with high accuracy is constructed based on actual driving data, which provides a basis for the performance analysis of HEV. Secondly, the HEV model with good power and economy is constructed under user driving cycles. Finally, a multi-strategy improved whale optimization algorithm (MIWOA) is proposed, which can guarantee better economy of HEV compared with the original whale optimization algorithm (WOA). The economy optimization of HEV is completed by MIWOA under user driving cycles, and the hybrid vehicle economy parameters that are more in line with the user’s actual driving conditions are obtained. After optimization, the 100 km equivalent fuel consumption (EFC) of HEV is reduced by 5.20%, which effectively improves the vehicle’s economy. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the MIWOA method in improving economy and contributes a fresh thought and method for the economic optimization of the hybrid powertrain.
Currently, teleoperated robots, with the operator’s input, can fully perceive unknown factors in a complex environment and have strong environmental interaction and perception abilities. However, physiological tremors in the human hand can seriously affect the accuracy of processes that require high-precision control. Therefore, this paper proposes an EEMD-IWOA-LSTM model, which can decompose the physiological tremor of the hand into several intrinsic modal components (IMF) by using the EEMD decomposition strategy and convert the complex nonlinear and non-stationary physiological tremor curve of the human hand into multiple simple sequences. An LSTM neural network is used to build a prediction model for each (IMF) component, and an IWOA is proposed to optimize the model, thereby improving the prediction accuracy of the physiological tremor and eliminating it. At the same time, the prediction results of this model are compared with those of different models, and the results of EEMD-IWOA-LSTM presented in this study show obvious superior performance. In the two examples, the MSE of the prediction model proposed are 0.1148 and 0.00623, respectively. The defibrillation model proposed in this study can effectively eliminate the physiological tremor of the human hand during teleoperation and improve the control accuracy of the robot during teleoperation.
