Vadim G. Kessler obtained his PhD degree from the Moscow State University (MSU) in 1990, and was appointed an Assistant Professor at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry MSU. He did his postdoc work (1992/93) at the University of Nice and became an Associate Professor at MSU in 1995. He was a visiting scientist at the University of Stockholm in 1995/96 and was appointed an Associate Professor at SLU in Uppsala in 1997. He received his Habilitation Degree in 2000 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2004. The main research focus in his work lies in developing molecular precursor chemistry for the synthesis of nanomaterials.
